About supreme sage Ved Vyasa
Ved Vyasa is one of the prominent sages of Sanatana Dharma or Hinduism. He is the one who classified the Vedas, the most important religious texts devoted to the Hindu religion. Vedas describe the primary principles and glories of the Hindu religion. The imperial text defines the universe in future periods- Satya, Treta, Dvapara, and Kali. Hinduism is the oldest and most eminent religion of the world. Vyasa is not only eminent for compiling the Vedas but also other notable texts of Hinduism, including eighteen Puranas and the legendary epic Mahabharata.

Significance of Vyasa Puja
The mighty sage was born in Dwapara Yuga times to Devi Satyawati and sage Parashara. Vyasa left her mother to practise asceticism but promised to return whenever she needed him. In the later phase of Satyawati’s life, she married the king of the universe or King Shantanu, But the king died, and his two sons with Satyawati also died. Satywati was in great trouble as there was no king in his kingdom. She then remembered Vyasa and sought his help. She asked her to leave his ascetic for a while and have children with her sons' widows. Vyasa agreed to her mother and had children with her son’s widows and later returned to his ascetic life. This legend gloriously elaborates on the greatness of sage Vyasa. The supreme sage is also described as the eternal power in the sacred texts. He is the one who has boons of living till eternity and the onus of reinforcing morals in the universe.
